History:
Some of the most important events of the past will be catalogued here. Time is measured in years before the end of the great wars, or years after the great wars.

Time unknown: Nefaihr was crafted out of a great flash of light, and from the world sprouted three things: the world's sphere of protection, the sun, and the Gods. The Gods began to sculpt their world.

~1500 BP: Humans who had already mastered the plains began their great siege on the other races of Nefaihr. Several of the races who were eliminated are not recorded.

1400 BP: The last city of the troglodytes, dwellers of the lakes, was destroyed.

1350 BP: The last city of the dragonfolk, dwellers of the caverns, was destroyed.

1300 BP: The Gods are believed to have begun plotting against the humans at this time. Humans and elves had both become very powerful magically by now, and this was perceived as a threat to the Gods.

1255-1250 BP: The angels were created to end the war. Humans were driven back to the plains. By the end of this period, war had begun again, and the Gods decided on a more permanent solution.

1100 BP: Swafnir amassed legions of warriors and fought against the humans. The entire landscape of the world was reformed, continents sunken and rose. In the end, however, the Gods found that the human race was still a mighty force to be reckoned with. Swafnir was eventually destroyed by the humans, and Gario and Rondra were born in his wake.

900 BP: The second coming of the Gods. Aquia brought great storms to Nefaihr, causing all coastal cities to be destroyed. This still did not deter the humans. They rebuilt their magical capital at Thenn.

700 BP: The third coming of the Gods. Zozma of wind created the dragon to master the skies, limiting the potential of the humans forever.

650 BP: Genjora was founded.

500 BP: The fourth coming of the Gods. This was believed to have been Infernus' attack, as Nefaihr came apart at the seams, cities were burned and continents were torn apart. Several of the dragons were killed. Several of the world's major cities were founded.

300 BP: The fifth coming of the Gods. Esoterica decided to allow select members of their creations to communicate with the Gods. Being able to speak to their creations, Esoterica felt, would allow them to direct them to be more loving and peaceful. Many religious texts arise from this era onwards.

100 BP: The sixth coming of the Gods. Errore created a great plague by ejecting corpses from the bowels of the earth. The humans largely avoided this problem by persecuting those who were infected instead of helping them. Those with the plague were cast outside of towns and left to die. When the human plague victims were set aginst the talians, they learned to heal the victims with their clerical powers. Humans and talians made peace.

0: The talian-human relationship inspired some degree of tolerance for other races in the humans. The talians convinced the humans to make peace with their friends, the elves. Learning to live in harmony, the humans vowed to end war on the other races. Agrafenn and Shadowside were founded. Some talians disagreed with making peace with the humans.

25 AP: War broke out among two of the three factions of talians: the druid urged for peace with humans, and the talid urged for seclusion. The talid attacked the druid after they threatened to bring the humans into their society, and the war continued for years.

31 AP: After 6 years of constant war, the genji brought the talian war to an end. The genji used all of their spiritual power to form a barrier between Piars, the druid settlement, and the main talian continent. The druid were pleased to be free, but very sad about the sacrifice of the genji. Neither genji nor talid have been heard from since these events.

100 AP: The seventh coming of the Gods. Marius simply centered the forces of nature at the capital at Thenn. Most of Thenn was destroyed, but the humans countered by creating a tower to act as a giant lightning rod. The tower was preserved as a bastion against nature, and a center of magical study. The rest of the world, now largely populated by humans, was left untouched. Berrun was built near the ruins of Thenn.

110 AP: The human settlement in the former troll region of Darkmere was destroyed by trolls. The humans fought back, but were defeated by the trolls in the swamp due do the destruction of Thenn. The humans declared Darkmere wild land.

300 AP: Anticipated as the eighth coming of the Gods, nothing seems to have happened this year. Scholars do not know whether this because humankind was forgiven because they made peace, or whether this lack of action was brought about for another reason.

500 AP: Present day.
