There I was, just standing at the street corner. The lamp post dripped light over my body. I was waiting for her. Waiting... Soon my body was covered. I was quite an object to look at. I moved away and it dried rather quickly. I waited for her. Waited. Cars ran by me like love in a turtle's shell. It was beautiful. It was. My encyclopedia set started to get bored. "When's she gonna be here?" it said. My only reply was "Soon...". We waited. Waited. I told the curb to watch out for her. "I'll be right back", I said to the curb. But the curb didn't know. The curb just didn't know. I went to the store to grab something to eat. Y'know, nothing spectacular. Just a small piece of floor to tide me over till dinner. "$5.00," the small Oriental lady said. At least she looked like a lady fromwhere I stood. I returned to the street to find the curb making love to... to... her. I couldn't believe my eyes. There she lay naked... curb on top. In the middle of the street. I sat on the park bench and fondled the grass.
