It was now 9:42pm but the rain didn't care. Swerving hard to the left, Ramon narrowly avoided missing his exit off the I-25. Ramon muttered his apologies to the strange black robed figure in the back seat. Again, there was no response. Ramon wondered why his client was so quiet, unless...Ramon's neck snapped as the car careened off the road and slid into the muddy, rain-filled ditch.
LONDON, JUNE 9
The envelope was pressed into the agent's hand with a firmness which only reinforced the urgent nature of his mission. He nodded curtly and stepped on to the waiting shuttle bus. He found his seat, next to a strange figure in a black robe, and began to look about in his briefcase for a letter opener.He never found it.
MANILA, JULY 13
Rex was wandering around the park, alert and ready for action. He had seen some squirrels out here earlier and had barked until he'd been let outside. Now those squirrels were nowhere to be found - indeed, there was no-one in sight except for a solitary figure in a black robe. It seemed strange that the squirrels would run off for no particular reason, when the park clearly had so much to offer... Rex decided to start barking.He never got past the "b".
