A list of ssh programs for Windows

Quick generic configuration information:

Notes on ssh clients:

We recommend PuTTY - it supports ssh versions 1 and 2, is completely free, supports port forwarding (useful for retrieving mail and transferring files), Just Works(TM), and is around 300 kilobytes. You can download a copy here, or you can visit their homepage here. It should be noted that the "stable version" offered on their webpage does not support port forwarding, so if you download it from them, grab the "latest development snapshot". (The version on yip.org is a snapshot from Dec. 12/2001) PuTTY for Windows NT on Alpha has not been tested by us, so we have no idea if it works. (If you use it and it works, let us know)

This is a work in progress.
