Quick generic configuration information:
MacSSH is a free ssh program whose terminal features work well with yip.org. It runs on both PPC and 68k hardware, on MacOS versions 8.1 to X. It is based on BetterTelnet and supports ssh version 1 and 2. It does not appear to have file transfer capabilities. The developer is currently working on a commercial ssh file transfer program called MacSFTP - you can download the beta here - .sit - but you may need the Carbon Library to use it. Or you could just get the Classic version. Liz at YIP has reported what sound like protocol errors when trying to use MacSFTP Carbon.
Update: Oops. It turns out sftp was not enabled on yip.org. It should work now, in theory.
NiftyTelnet 1.1 revision 3 is another free ssh program. Liz at YIP has reported that the terminal portion is a bit quirky when this software is used with yip.org. Their version history does mention file transfer support (scp) with lots of bugs fixed in the latest version.
Mac users can also download a 30-day demo of F-Secure SSH; Julie at YIP has pointed out that by deleting the prefs file, the 30-day trial period is reset. Doing this after one's trial period would be in violation of the license agreement one agrees to when downloading it, of course. No complaints as far as usability goes, but its file transfer capabilities are unknown.
This is a work in progress.
