New Guatamala is the third largest Neo-Babylonian republic. The capital is Guatamala City, other large cities are Rio Slazikia, Venezeula, Mongolia, Holland and Yugoslavia. All major cities are situated along Slazik River.
New Guatamala became a nation in the year 270, when it separated from MegaPudding. From 0-200 New Guatamala was a barren province of the Llamish Empire, with few settlements. In the year 200, MegaPudding claimed all the lands north of the city of Biftech as Pudding Territory. The inhabitants of Biftech were allowed to move south to Llamaland or north to settle along the Slazik river. Many people who did not desire to live in an animal kingdom decided to move north. Small settlements began to pop up, and they named after the Babblish countries of Earth.
By the year 250, separation fever was striking the Pudding Empire. Taking notes from their neighbour to the south, Hyperbolia, the inhabitants of Guatamala, Holland, Mongolia and Yugoslavia banded together and declared themselves an independent country called New Guatamala. They claimed all land north of Hellpuke lying between the Slazik River and the Pudding Fields.
MegaPudding decided that they would lose a war against the New Guatamalans, and that they would be wiser to attempt to have good economic relations, and formally agreed.
Hyperbolia has no official religion. The main languages are English, Hollish and Spanish. 90% of the inhabitants are human. All the important ones at least. Important trading partners are MegaPudding, Hyperbolia and Solenmarcel. They trade stuff.
