Ebb
Ebb. Heh. Funny word. Tides ebb. I don't know what
that means, though. I'm not sure if it means going slower
or faster or up or down or whatever. It certainly is a type
of tide, though, commonly referred to as an 'ebb tide'. You
could probably spell ebb with just one b, either the first
or the second, hence making it 'eb'. Go ahead, say the word
'eb'. It sounds a lot like 'ebb', doesn't it? I knew it
would. If we lived in a land where phonetics were all that
mattered, that would be fine. But we don't. So use the
extra b. A little circle and a short line go a long way.
